I'm an independent national correspondent writing for The Daily Beast, The Washington Post, VICE and many others. I consider my beat to be the entire United States and have the frequent flyer miles to prove it. Corrupt politicians, immigration, healthcare, crime, mass shootings, life in Cuba, the Trump administration—you name it, I've covered it.

I was in Ferguson within 24 hours of Mike Brown's death. Then Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Charlotte—every major police shooting for two years. Flint for the water crisis, Dallas for the murder of five police officers, Vegas for the massacre of 59 Americans. Recently I've turned my attention to immigration and politics. I was at the border for the family separation crisis. Before that, I was the first to report on bills introduced by Rep. Chris Collins that would have helped his pharmaceutical company with its lone drug. He's now under federal indictment for insider trading-related charges involving that company.
