If you're reading this it might be because you've recently read one of my stories, you have an idea for a story you'd like me to write, or because you have something to say about my work. Regardless, I'm all ears.

For several years I did mostly crime reporting, both for local newspapers in the Midwest and then for national outlets. Now, my focus has widened to include politics, health care, private prisons, culture, foreign policy and more. If you have something that fits into one of those categories or any others I might not have mentioned, I'd like to hear from you. If you think an injustice has been done or a story hasn't been properly covered, please don't hesitate to reach out.

You can view my recent stories by clicking on the Work tab above. If you're interested, you can read my personal writings here.

I'm an independent journalist, which means I choose my stories myself and am beholden to no one in terms of what I cover and how. My only obligation is to the truth.

Thanks for stopping by.
